Good questions
Before you reserve.
How much is the deposit, and is it refundable?
A $750 deposit reserves your share and locks your price. It comes off the total — it is not an extra charge. If you cancel within 7 days of reserving we refund it in full; after that it covers the animal already set aside for you.
How do I pay, and when?
We accept Venmo, Chime, Apple Pay, Zelle and Cash. Pick your preferred method on the reservation form and we reply with the payment details for that method — we never post account handles publicly. The deposit is due to reserve; the balance is due before your beef ships.
Where do you ship?
Anywhere in the United States. Shipping is included on every share, anywhere in the US. Every share is vacuum sealed and flash frozen, packed with dry ice in an insulated box. Most orders leave within 1–4 business days and arrive 1–3 business days later.
What does grass finished actually mean?
Most beef labeled “grass fed” in a store spent its last few months on grain to fatten up faster. Ours never does. Our cattle eat grass and forage from birth to harvest — no grain, no corn, no feedlot. That is the whole difference.
Can I choose my own cuts?
Yes. Once your deposit is in we walk you through the butcher’s cut sheet — steak thickness, roast sizes, how much you want ground, whether you want the bones and organs. If you would rather not decide, our standard cut sheet is a sensible default.
How much freezer space do I need?
Plan on roughly one cubic foot per 35–40 lbs of vacuum-packed beef. 1/8 beef: about 2 cu ft. 1/4 beef: about 3–4 cu ft. 1/2 beef: about 6–7 cu ft. Full beef: about 12–14 cu ft. When in doubt, size up.
What if something arrives thawed or damaged?
Call or text us the day it arrives with a photo. We will make it right — that is the whole advantage of buying from a family instead of a warehouse.
